December 5th, 2010 Los Angeles…Writer, Producer, Director, Performance Artist and MC, Adam Shenkman has brought back the Variety Show and taken it to new heights with his latest work The Breakfast Show. This wacky and wonderful show, where creativity and participation are encouraged is an homage to children’s shows of the past. Shenkman features some of Los Angeles’s finest underground comics, performance artists and joy-makers. The Breakfast Show is a new breed of children’s entertainment, an experience to bring children into a world of imagination by making them an vital part of the show in front of them, through them and for them.

KID’S FILM FESTIVAL.Final Breakfast Show of 2010: In the past six months, The Breakfast Show has gained a loyal following of children and grown-ups. The December show stands to be our biggest performance yet. It will be a live show and “film festival,” featuring kids’ films, 3 minutes or less, short films made by the characters in the show, and two guest comics. The show takes place the first Sunday of each month, at 4 pm and 8 pm–the later show is an encore performance for adults. We usually have a full house for each performance. Kids must submit their video by November 19th 2010 to: email@example.com

The Breakfast Show features storytelling, sing-a-longs, art, face painting, life lessons, balloons, surprises, strange new wonderful worlds and, of course, the most important meal of the day…. Cereal!

Adam Shenkman has been causing quite a stir around the East Side of Los Angeles with his radically unique standout performances. His epic subversive show, “ADAM SHENKMAN SPECIAL,” caught the attention of fringers and garnered him a heavy following throughout Los Angeles. Part comedian, part Avant-garde artist and always master of ceremonies Adam is a prolific artist to watch and a natural fit to entertain the child in all of us.
THE BREAKFAST SHOW takes place every month at The Strange in East Hollywood. All ages are encouraged to attend the 4 pm show, and a repeat performance will take place at 8pm–the later time is intended for adults who wish to relive the joy of childhood. And have their faces painted too!
