The Strange is a non profit community art space that provides a platform for compassionate artists, musicians, and creative thinkers to express themselves. Based in a 3000 sq ft converted warehouse originally used to shoot music videos, The Strange is located on the corner of Melrose Ave and Heliotrope Dr in East Los Angeles. We host an array of artistic events for the benefit of the community, and no individual stands to profit from the collective work of the many people that make The Strange possible.

MISSION STATEMENT: to stimulate, foster and expand public access to and appreciation for the arts, music and new art forms, by promoting, sponsoring and providing exhibitions, performances, cultural arts events, classes and workshops;

Strengthen and beautify the Los Angeles community by providing a platform for compassionate artists, musicians and creative thinkers to express themselves through music, the performing arts, fine arts and new art forms; and

Foster, encourage and engage in, by all proper and legitimate means within the context of the purposes stated above, certain charitable, educational, civic, and similar causes for the public welfare.
